Hope this is corrected on the 4th gen. The stereo is on the right, the controls for the stereo are on the left side of the steering wheel. The up and down buttons scroll through the channels while the Left Right buttons turn the radio up or down. Might sound trivial but it's the little things that kill. Love my truck otherwise.

Hahaha, I totally agree, trivial, but definitely annoying!!
My wife has a Sienna, and the controls are that way, so I'm ASSUMING that the change will be made on the 24

Mods are currently being changed .....
The solution is clear. Drive with steering wheel at 90* and the volume is now up/down and channels, left/right.

This is definitely an area where it seems ergonomics and user expectations should play a huge role in design; standardization seems like it might be a good goal as well

    I’m used to it

I feel I’m a person to adjust to a vehicle, not expect most things to be uniform across brands, make and models.

not saying I don’t understand an obvious logical set up or application, but for me personally just able to adapt in certain areas.

I’m human and make mistake though. I still try to push start my tundra and key start my Tacoma. I just laugh and call myself a dummy.

which also makes a point for people who are used to it one way in previous gen(s) to get used to a new way if they change it

Won’t be long we’ll be saying “back in my day, we used to have this steering wheel thingy that allowed you to turn your car whichever way you wanted…”
But,yeah, I agree with your pet peeve.

I also didn't see a driver side A pillar grab handle. Also I wonder if there will be a slightly bigger gas tank and a locking gas cap? Maybe with potentially better MPH a bigger tank is superfluous.
