The bottom pulley feels wrong under no load ??

Put a new bearing in and be done then that will be all of them.

There is brake that provides friction so the blades stop spinning when you turn off the PTO.

I doubt it. Ive replaced a few of those bearings over the year. The rest of the clutch doesn't last much longer. I know it sucks, but replacing the clutch it easier, but not cheaper. Removing the old bearing it not very easy either.

I don't think your issue is the clutch. Check the idler pulleys on the deck. They are prone to freezing up. Again, they use shitty, non sealed bearings.

Idler pulleys spin freely on deck and under side of deck for belt that goes to hydro drive.
I'm willing to try replacing the spindle bearings they're not expensive Amazon choice. They look sealed but show one side w/out shield which is the way it should be I think...open internal for grease through spindle.
Lots of edits today; meant to say idler under the machine that goes to hydro

Can you turn the spindles by hand with the belt removed?

Second question: is this a 2 blade deck? Most of those had blades that need timed or the blade tips could contact each other.

Disregard: I see you said "6 bearings" that equals 3 blades.

Try Jacks on line, great place to get mower parts. I have used them for years.

Do you have a Timkin or other bearing place in town? At long as you either get the brand and manufacturer number off it [the bearing] or bring it in, most places can match it. A thin needle full of grease or a small pick to pull back the lip a bit to add a bit more grease makes most new bearings last far longer, it's a sin how little most manufacturers put in new ones anymore. It's like one tiny dab which somehow is going to actually last.

Ahh, Garage sale time, 75-100 75 and 100 watt new packaged bulbs for the exorbitant sum of $1. That should last me until I croak. 2 full gallons of white gas, $5. A bunch of full car care and wood products [303, Old English, Howards wood wax and such] .25 cents each. Always a nice way to kill a couple of hours in the morning.

A real shame a unnamed person tossed a few cases into the trash .
