    Nice!

We were responsible for starting Arbor day, but I do have to laugh at our new state motto........

"Nebraska, Honestly, Its not for everyone." lol

The history of Arbor Day is interesting to me (but probably no one else) because I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, near the Morton Arboretum. I visited the arboretum many times for school field trips or family outings. The namesake for Morton Arboretum is from Joy Morton who started the arboretum 1922 and is the founder of Morton Salt Company, which you are likely familiar.
Joy Morton also happens to be the son of Julius Sterling Morton, who founded Arbor Day in Nebraska in 1872.

So the son of the founder of Arbor Day made money selling salt and used it to open an arboretum; not that remarkable, I know.

But I found the connections interesting because I grew up going to Morton Arboretum and then moved to Nebraska having no idea that it was the "Home of Arbor Day" and that Joy Morton's father was the founder of Arbor Day. I'm on some sort of weird Morton pilgrimage journey or something :notsure:

Cool. I wanted to guess SD border, but I wasn't sure. I thought it looked vaguely familiar. I drove 385 to/from SD last in 2018.

Anyone near Lincoln that could help my wife's cousin? Her car needs a jump start, and a new battery.
