First - I’m not sure where / how you were misled or how you assumed the strength of our frames because it could not be further from the truth. Go grab a framing hammer and climb under your truck and start hitting it and it will cave right in. Our frames are notoriously pieces of complete crap to a laughable extent so you continuing to argue this “ forged steel “ marketing line is just pure comedy. You can bend the flanges of the frame with a crescent wrench and your bare hands, you can cut it like butter with a hack saw and you can dent it incredibly easily. Watch the gap between your bed and cab while driving on a rough road and come back and tell us about how strong the frame is.

    2. If that damage has not cracked anything and your frame is not bent causing an alignment issue then it is literally just cosmetic and inconsequential and there is literally nothing wrong with your truck that you should be worried about. That cross member and the one behind it get abused from offroading all the time which is why people invest in skid plates.

    3. Your insinuation that your truck should be totaled because of this is akin to saying your truck should be totaled because you dented your door.

You are clearly new to this stuff and being misled by dealer idiots whom are the least experienced least talented mechanics in the world. If it really bothers you take it to a frame shop and tell them you need to pay out of pocket and ask for a cash price deal it’s about an hour of work at best.

Lastly- that damage is fresh, there is no way in hell that exposed metal would not be oxidized / rusted even with undercoating

I thought was this comment was if you were in a ditch after hitting the deer. The thoughts were damage from the extraction by the tow truck

If you really want to get this covered under your prior claim, call Collision Safety Consultants. They specialize in this sort of stuff and can at least tell you if you should be able to fight it or not.

Remember the insurance company owes you money, never trust them.
