Yeah, it looks great from the driver's seat too! Loved the look of yours, but wanted that Voodoo Blue to show through for the logo. Turned out perfect!

That's what you said and I fully agree. You won't see another on the road like yours, now your wife will know for sure it's you at the beirgarten!

Pulled the steps off my truck today to try to finish the driver's side slider. Looks weird, I've had those steps on the truck since the first week I've owned it.

Pretty sure he could do it in hot pink with a Chevy logo if you wanted. :D Tim plays with some pretty cool equipment!

These sliders are turning into a PITA! No instructions. Figured how hard can it be? Printed pictures out from the website for reference. Everything is tabbed/slotted. Well, some of the legs don't match, like they're from another model or version. The leg for the front plate that bolts to the front crossmember isn't slotted at the crossmember plate. Had to cut the front leg off today because it was 5" off (didn't look right when I welded it), temp mount the pieces separately and mark everything to fit. Tomorrow will be re-tack everything and do another test fit. Once all is re-welded, I'll see what I can do to make the oddball pieces fit together for the passenger side.

Hopefully, I can finish tomorrow as I was planning on paint next Sat and final install the following weekend.

I was thinking one the same size as the one you installed on that beautiful voodoo blue truck, but no writing, and in a black camouflage (different shades of black or perhaps black and dark grey)

Sorry to hear that. Glad to know other people have issues with mods not being as straightforward as one would think they should be.
Lol! Maybe a little limo cutout in the corner :p

Yup, everything matches the pics, right up to the front leg. When I did the test fit, the outer rails and main rail sit right where they should, all of the bolt holes line up...except the front leg. Should've taken a pic but was rather pissed that I had to cut/grind welds off and now will have to just wing the rest.

Guess it all works better when you can just clamp all of the pieces into a jig and just weld the shit out of it.

    What; you don't have a jig?? :D

If it makes you feel any better, I've got a few hours in on removing the top plate and rust on just one of my sliders, and I still have a ways to go before it's ready for paint. I sure would love it if I could just pay someone to do it. I'm already sick of messing with them.
