Seconding @johneman ! I know you fuss the grass, do you trim the bushes too? You're pretty good!

My little old suburban is about $3k in taxes, with Ag. exemption, and senior freeze. We pay 8.25% (minimum) sales tax to make up for no income tax. Most regular vehicles are about the $78 I pay for each of ours. Commercial rigs and trailers are so high, most TX companies register them out of state! Can't say much more without troubles....don't seem to have a good current pic.

    Tools for the day!

Results tomorrow, when all dry. If you guessed seatbelt cleaning, you were right. Steamer was much more effective today. This guy was the star in my efforts though - like almost having a free hand....

Actually, I just remembered that I use that to give all the Hibiscus haircuts in the fall, before they go in the greenhouse! So, twice a year (ish).

I save the spent flowers from our hibiscus for a friend who uses them to make hibiscus tea. Only organic fertilizer in our yard for everything including the lawn

Carol used to save them. Then, the pup liked them, and we got him to only pull the spent ones!

I never got the chance to work graves.... "it wasn't allowed", but swing shifters, aka me, had to hang around many nights :annoyed:

Go when work is no fun anymore!!! As long as you can hang around, stay, but once it's no fun, punch out!!! I'm so glad I left when I did (even though I went back to help out, it's fun now, since I have no responsibility and can go in when I want and leave when I want)

So sorry for that. Hope you can retire sooner rather than later.

    Love the eagle pic

If it wasn't for my military retirement, I don't know that I'd have been able to retire when I did. With just my state retirement and SS things would have been very tight.

$5800?? So happy mine are no where near that much.... Both vehicle tax was $532 for this year - on a 15 yo truck and 6 yo car. Supposed to go down each year you have them.... Was $900 a few years ago.

"Wasn't allowed" ... why? 'Cuz female? I'm trying to remember if the women I worked with at Pope worked mids, can't recall that they did, but then I didn't realize it was a policy.
    :boom:

I'm wondering if I should try melatonin? I've avoided it, but the sleep cycle thing is starting to irritate me. :notsure:

I appreciate your input, your advice has always been sound and valuable. I'll keep it in mind.
    :fistbump:

Yep, the eagle pic was a very nice capture, glad you like it.

Hmmm ... I hesitate to say what our taxes are ... with exemptions (VA Rating) we pay less than $1000 a year house and two 2019 vehicles. No taxes on vehicles 8 years and older. AK is kind to Veterans.

Thank you again Susan, hope you are well.
    RESPECT :oldglory:

No worries, I changed careers when I was 60 and really enjoy what I do; working until I'm in my early 70s will not be a hardship. :)

I take 3mg of melatonin and have found it to be effective and I'm not groggy in the morning

    Hiya Kurt... how's things?

The bases I was at said "no mid shift" they would only allow a "servicing crew". It wasn't a MAC base, it was fighter bases and they didn't want mid shift. Don't remember why :anonymous:

Melatonin might help... I have found that exercise several hours before bed helps with sleep.

Nice on the taxes.... Mine are less than some of the guys, so not complaining too loudly.

@ImpulseRed008 , doing OK! Think my clean up worked today, and going to see one of my wifes teacher friends off to retirement tomorrow. Always happy to see someone off into retirement!

ah yes ... fighter units here are still like that. Heck, getting the C17 homestation mx out on weekends is a challenge. Different way of thinking.

Yeah, I just kept quiet on the taxes at first. A lot of the east coast up that way is like that ... more people means more infrastructure which equals more taxes. I think I mentioned before my Chief had to downsize from their dream home to afford the taxes in retirement. He is in NJ.

    Take care my friend.
