Makes sense, I was gonna say maybe next time use clip-on weights instead, but you already filed down brakes

Good to know that 16" clearance is that tight, thanks for sharing

I'd like to get a real socket for the funny lug nuts that come with these wheels so I don't need to deal with the adapter all the time. Anyone know what the pattern is called or where to get one?

Might be this, will order and find out.

@Mastiff37 that is spot on, and the most common of the Spline drive lug nut keys. They make a six and a seven spline. Seven is not as common.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
Howdy people with good wheel taste lol. I’m gonna order a set of these in 16”. Is the tight clearance with the brakes a widespread issue? Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger. The help is always appreciated.

@TuesdayTaco76 not so much a wheel issue as it is a wheel weight placement issue. Stores are required to do a check spin in the air to verify the wheel weights don't come in contact with the caliper. Tape weight needs to be placed away from a potential contact area.

Right on. I read the one post about brakes rubbing? Got me gun shy on pulling the trigger. I think I’ll grab them though. Thanks for the heads up.

To be clear, they didn't rub from the shop, but after a few rotations they did. Must be one caliper was slightly bigger than the other.

Has anyone else noticed it’s hard to keep these wheels clean on the inside after going through heavy mud? I have the steering wheel/cab shakes at highway speeds and I suspect mud on the inside is throwing the balance off. I just need to take them off and clean…

Do they still rub now? Damn how many times do you think “rub” is used on TW lol. Thanks though for the help.

I filed down my caliper to clear it. Less than a millimeter at the high point of the casting. It would have cleared itself in a few miles I bet.

They actually have a Slate Grey and a Peak Grey. I honestly can't tell the difference. Great looking wheels though.

Is there any reason both of these colour options aren't available on the Fifteen52 site? I see them both on DTD's site, and like you said, I can't tell any difference either.

I've seen the Peak Gray colourway on a few trucks on the forum, but i'd be much more inclined to buy something a little closer to charcoal. Definitely something that splits the difference between the Asphalt Black that gets lost in the tire and the Peak Gray that's just a little too light/blue-ish tint for my liking.

Obviously I'm being super picky and there are other options on the market for real steal or steel-styled alloy, but after having good luck with Fifteen52 in the past I wouldn't mind giving them repeat business, either.

I still can't think of any wheel I'd choose over these.

Can't seem to find anybody running 285's on these wheels. I'm running 255's and want the increased selection of 285's
