Have an 01 4x4 with 2.7L. I do quite a bit of towing and hauling to the point I should have bought a half ton. Regardless I love this truck and the 4 cylinder tows quite well until you get on the interstate and try and maintain 70mph.

Anyways, I was looking in ARB's heavy load suspension kit and had a few questions. Right now the only suspension modification I have made is replacing my rear shocks with KYB monomax's and they are great. Really help with towing and payload and even lifts the rear up a bit. Pretty stiff on an empty bed, but it doesn't bother me and I don't drive this truck but once or twice a week.

Would ARB's rear shocks and leafs still work well with towing and payload? I do go offroad, just not as frequently as I tow or haul. For the front I eventually want to get a Coastal Off road bumper and a winch. Would I need aftermarket upper control arms with the suspension kit as well? Seems like a lot of people change their control arms when they do a suspension upgrade that lifts the vehicle.
