    Hey Guys,

I'm tired of looking at my peeling clear coat. So I decided to paint it! I'm currently in Phase 1: Body Work. I'm doing all this at home and with no guidance other than youtube videos. I know there are a lot of guys on here with experience in Body Work and was hoping to use them as a resource.

    Questions
1.How do I protect body panels after sanding and bondo from rust? Since I'm doing all the work myself it is taking awhile and I want to make sure the work I am doing isn't ruined by letting time pass.
    2. Epoxy Primer, Self Etching, Dtm? Can I use epoxy primer/paint the whole time? I'd prefer to have less materials to keep track of.
3.WTF Is intercoat? How is it different from clear coat?

I have researched body work/ painting before, but never pulled the trigger because of so much confusion. I'm hoping to get the job done this summer before the rains come.

    ...BTW... Paint is pretty cool

    Thanks in advance,
    Tommy

a dropped one and a high one
You can spray can primer over spots you work on to stop rust.

Also, I've looked a lot into this and I go through phases of if I should paint my own truck myself.

from my research, rent a booth, get a good gun, and maybe if you can ask the booth practice makes perfect go get a hood from some random car and paint it.
