Has anyone read whether the 2400w inverter and the air compressor will be available in models other than the TrailHunter?

Those are about the only two features on it that I really like, but I don’t want to have to roll with the bed rack and a snorkel to get them. I’m hoping those are available add-ons for the Off Road.

Educated guess it will be offered as stand alone option for hybrid max models.

I’m hoping for the same thing. Add on option for the other hybrid models.

Edit: Toyotas chief engineer confirmed on a video that it’ll come optional on the pro st least. He also said any part from one is interchangeable to another model as long as the engine/tranny type if it matters is the same. Like the 2400 W needs the hybrid.

I haven’t seen specific rear seat measurements, but most of the influencers that Toyota flew to Hawaii express more room back there. Take their opinions with a grain of salt btw. If there is greater legroom, I’d doubt that it’s unintentional. Also not sure why they’d only care about departure and less about break-over & turning radius though. Or approach for that matter.

I actually give Toyota a lot of credit for balancing the engineers’ need to fit coils & re-route exhaust underneath while maintaining acceptable departure, the product planners’ (alleged) need for more rear cab space, all while maintaining the style and proportion the designers wanted. It’s really impressive. Compare that to GM increasing exterior dimensions while shrinking rear seat space, even though they kept leafs. That’s a big win for Toyota.

The biggest questions are how does it drive, and how much. Top powertrains aren’t even for sale until next spring so I guess we have plenty of time to debate.

Haven’t been following too close, can someone get me up to speed — did they address the awkward seating position? Never minded it in my second gen, but I know it bothers some people.

Seems like it comes with auto seats that move up and down as well. Not sure if it all models though

If the 2024 MAX models won't be available until the spring of 2024, does this mean that the 2025 MAX models be available in the fall of 2024 with the rest of the 2025 models?

...or will the MAX models continue to be offset +6 months?

Sounds hopeful. I just wish the screen was embedded in the dash and not sticking up like a big candy bar. Looks clunky.

I think they will eventually bring some sort of unibody pickup to market. The price of the Tacoma and Tundra keep climbing out of reach for many, so a lower cost entrant could fill the void.

I have not seen anyone mention this yet… but in person we noticed the trail hunter “rock rails” actually bolt straight to the frame rather than the pinch weld/ body of the truck! The prerunner also had threaded holes for mounting sliders!

Was just about to post it. Wheelbase and something about thinner guage steel in the fully boxed frame. Hope their coating is up to task this time!

I’d probably take one over the Tacoma just because of the MPG and my work commute. I’m digging the 4th gen and think I’d actually be happy with the new powertrain but I think I’d still be disappointed with the MPG and the price.
