Thanks! That looks exactly like what I just ordered. One Yakima crossbar (their website only shows pairs. You have to ask them for the part number then search) and the long arm bed extender. I can't quite tell what brand you have.

It's not exactly a bed extender, it's actually made for loading a canoe solo. you set one end on the 'T', and then lift the other end and walk it around to the nose. It's designed to pivot and only adjusts for height. Can't find the link (yet) I've had it for years. Run all over the country with it. Works well with my softtopper as well.

Get the fender wall tie down points as well. Far more stability at speed and spares your paint.

Yakima calls theirs a bed extender because you can lower it rearward as a bed extender for long lumber, ladders, shorter kayaks, etc. https://yakima.com/products/longarm

What are the fender wall tie down points?

Just run the existing fender bolt through the metal grommet. They tuck in the engine bay out of sight when not in use. When under load they pull laterally, not straight out.

Again, I mounted mine years ago. No marring of paint, no impact to the bolt/threads.

Bear in mind, the t bar i bought is for canoes/light craft. A well made canoe, is maybe a 100 lbs. My 17 Ft aluminum is less than 80. Ill speculate what Yakima is selling, if intended to accomodate lumber or ladders, is MUCH more robust.

On those straps...I doubt there's much difference. they're a woven strap, stitched and with a brass grommet. potato potahdo

Yeah the Yakima is rated for 300lbs, or 160 with the extension. On closer look the straps look the same. I bought the cajun tie downs because of faster delivery time.
