I picked up a 2013 Tacoma cheap. It was a mess and I have done a ton of work. So the new bed went on this morning and this truck sits high compared to my 07 or 97. So my neighbor 2 doors down has the same truck, 2013 Access cab. I take a quick measurement and mine sits 4 inches higher than his and 5 higher than my 07 crew cab. So I take a look at my leaf springs and I have 5 leafs in the back and his only has 3otherwise they are basically identical down to the silver color.Any clues why?

    3 + overload = 4
4 total is what a 2013 comes with.

If you have 5, one is likely an Add-a-leaf. Which will raise the rear

Toyota took away a lot of the information on their site about a year ago.
    You have 3 options

You can subscribe to TIS for 3 days and pull all your information.

Call your local dealership and hope they are nice enough to email you a copy.

Or, know the right people that can do this for you.
I’m not one of them. But they are around. Maybe one will see this and help you out.

    TRD's don't sit any higher than a "regular" 4x4.

I have 2 TRD's but this one had been abused and repainted more than once. Both my others have 3 springs and sit way lower.

No need. As TnShooter already pointed out you either have an add a leaf installed or a different rear leaf pack. Either way it’s aftermarket and won’t show when you run the vin. If I had to guess you probably have some sort of lift in the front too.

Fronts stock. I just did lower control arms, axles and shocks and it sits like my other ones.

    Same crap everyone else got
You certainly have a lifted leaf pack of some type. Looks like added leafs to and OEM pack. get a pic of the front of the rear diff. Does it have an actuator for the elocker? If so, TRD off road.

Maybe some one took the front lift off before you bought the truck?
The 2nd and 3rd spring down from the top are much thicker than the factory springs. Those are definitely not OE springs.
