Yeah, the Toyota 4% for 48 month deal is by far the best I've found in Oregon this month.

Wow, thats rough! I guess im lucky i have a credit union tied to my job, i got 2.5% from my credit union. Luckily i got my truck at msrp, and the sales man didn't care that i brought my own financing, he actually recommended it because their rate would be super high, and he makes his money as long as he sold the truck... maybe try sell your car privately and see if you can get more than the dealer would offer

Do you want to mope about in a lifeless world with no real purpose, or do you want to smile, hair blowing in the wind as you drive a new 4x4 down the road?

Looks like the higher interest rates are working as intended to slow the velocity of money…..

Or, wait 3 years so Toyota works out the bugs on a significantly changed vehicle AND the demand drops a little AND perhaps the interest rates will go down AND you may have more equity in your current vehicle. Like others have said, you have made good decisions thus far...keep doing that! You can more easily justify waiting rather than buying now.

Tacoma's lease like shit right now. High interest rates effect leases as well.

When I bought this one new in 1986, I think the interest rate was 14%, it’s still an adjustment for me to hear 5% being high but I did get 1.9% when I bought my 2009 Tacoma. I think in general we’re all just getting used to low interest rates

On a serious note, you shouldn't have to pay much for a new truck after a trade-in. The dealer will try to screw you because a trade-in it counts against taxes, but you can shop around

Lol... I have owned a Mustang GT since I was 19 years old. (My RIP 1989 one I financed at 12.6% that I mentioned earlier in this thread). I own one now.

FICO of 800+. It can happen!

Barely smaller than financing at a decent rate/loan term. Is saving $150 a month worth it to spend thousands on a vehicle you won't even own?

I think they're trying to sell me a Wrangler :p
