Looking at picking up a well-used set of these Eagle 102s in 16x8 -20 and giving them a quick refinish to replace my stock 2nd gen OR wheels (16x7 +30) for the MTs. Main purpose would be to get rid of the Spidertrax spacers I currently have to swap when I switch wheel sets. I've only found one pic below of these on a 1st gen, anyone happen to have one on a 2nd?

3 of 4 sanded with 180 grit, 400 grit, and polished with black compound. Need to start looking into sealer or ceramic coating to help protect these.

First pic shows the difference between 400 grit and black polishing compound.

Looks great. I almost bought a used set of these for my 2020 but they were too far gone for me to do within my budget and skill level. Had a simular set on my 91 many years ago.
    Classic wheels!

Thanks! I looked at blasting and painting or coating them bronze, but they started to polish up nicer than I expected for the amount of pitting they started with. Plus I couldn't fit them in the blast cabinet :)

I'm up to about $60 in HF polishing stuff right now, including their cheap right angle die grinder. Not sure it's going to last one more wheel though, sounding pretty rough.

Progress so far: everything finished with the compound. I tried some Nevr-Dull polish on the bottom right and it looks like it took the compound residue off but didn't do much. Going to give them a wash and then a final shine with Mother's Mag/Aluminum polish.

Finished, and I'm surprised how well it goes with the rest of the truck.

I had the rock crushers on my 2nd gen. I don't think I have any pics though. They are in my garage now, don't look quite that bad though.

Here's the final result. Just finished putting the Icon RXT leaf packs in last night, went with option 3. Wheels and tires fit well with no rubbing yet. Happy that -20 offset is working so far.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but how did you remove the faux beadlock bolts? I have raceline rockcrushers and want to do the same. I'm tired of all the dirt and grime that gets trapped in them!

I used a large Torx bit and the impact driver. After so many years they were in pretty tight. They looked like triangular self-tapping screws and had a good deal of oxidation from the aluminum. A few pulled the threads out with them or spun and I had to take a pry bar and help them up while turning.

Just got some of those wheels today. I can’t wait to restore them this week and by the end of the week get them on some nice tires

So I'm going to be the guy who brings this thread back from the dead once again. I'm looking at a set of these in black 16x8 -20 offset. It looks like you had clearance issues with the caliper. Did you use hub rings? Should I pass in these?

I didn't need hub rings, and the caliper ended up extremely close to the back of the wheel without actually touching it. Didn't want to risk getting debris in there. I could've clearanced it with a little file work, but the 255/85s were also rubbing when turned and the suspension was compressed. I might have been able to take that out with another alignment and UCA adjustment.

I'd go for them if you find a set in black. Some thin spacers and different tires could clear up any issues I experienced.
