Rip them to .mp3. Put the files on a SanDisk Ultra-Fit USB stick, and use that as the source for your tunes.

I have an old 5g iPod that I put SD cards in, which is my source of tunes when driving.

    easy nuff.
You can surely find someone that will rip them to a thumb drive at work, church, great grand children etc, for free. Thumb drives are dirt cheap, and often free as marketing collateral these days.

Exactly, I ripped my entire CD collection into MP3s and all fit into 1 USB drive, (15-20 years ago). You need to get over this "can't lean new tech" mentaility.

I never listen to the radio. Never bothered with any of that bs in my tacoma. I had my fill of it, working in the home audio, video entertainment field for decades till retirement.

When I started driving in the early 1970s most cars had AM only radios. Only high trim level cars typically had AM/FM radios.

People who wanted FM often bought one of these, https://www.ebay.com/p/1623255452 and added them.

Which is to say that I'm fairly old and I was able to figure out how to rip CDs onto my desktop computer hard drive and then transfer them to other devices. So, if I can do it chances are excellent that anybody can do it. If you have kids or grand kids they can probably show you how.

I don't have a disc drive on my computer to be able to "rip".

    Time marches on, unfortunately.

You either adapt or just deal with not being able to do what you want.

My very local AM and now FM radio station still is a strong signal for me.
And I get all the local news. Who's home had a fire, who took out that light pole and knocked out power to 28 houses, how did the tax vote go, how much snow and rain were going to get, etc.

Depending on how important it is to you, they make external USB-C or USB-A drives.

Or find someone who has much computer equipment to ask to borrow or for their help. Time marches on, as was noted, but some people keep older computer equipment for multi-purposes. Kinkos probably has for "professional services", video processing/conversion services, etc. Some still keep CDs drives.

even more the reason to find someone who does, before they become even more hard to find. I doubt they're going away, but close to it.

I keep my computer updated every couple years and I still run my CD-RW drive in it. granted I've yet to use it in the past few years but it's there, ready and waiting.

Did Devo appear after 8-track and in time for cassette tapes? Just having serious nightmare flashbacks from high school.

In high school, my 65 Impala had under dash reverb, 8 track and FM convertor units hanging under the passenger side dash area. Passengers would complain about banging their shins on the audio gear.

Also, came out of school one day and all three under dash units had been stolen.

Qobuz app via CarPlay is now my vehicle music system

The young pups are googling for 8-track ... let alone the other items you mentioned!
