I'm going to change my oil this weekend and figured I'd grease the driveshaft while I'm under there but in looking around, I'm only getting more and more confused.

I assume there is at least one zerk fitting to justify the grease gun I just ordered but I'm seeing that some Tacoma's don't have any and others have five. Can someone PLEASE tell me how many I should be looking for on a '19 Pro?

Rear driveshaft by ‘19 most likely won’t have any zerks… the front I believe should and they are well hidden at first glance. Check my video for their locations. They may not be there.

Chiming in... Would a 2020 TRD OR have any zerks? I'll watch your video when I get off work.

I bought my truck at 33k miles and have followed this map since 35k. Just did my 45k oil change the other day and I see that the map says to grease the driveshaft, which is something I've never done before. No idea where to start.

It’s one of, if the not the, easiest DIY. Pretty much just a grease gun and grease. You should not have zerks on the rear. Front is a maybe. always check both. A 2020 final assembly may be a 2019 built driveshaft etc.

Verified - the 2019 TRD Pro only has 2 zerks on the front.

i didn't want to start a new thread. just watched this video: How to Tacoma 3rd Gen Bilstein 5100 Lift Install

Q: can this replace OEM shocks?

i don't need lift, but like to have a stiff ride.*

    thanks

Most definitely can and frequently do! You don’t need to raise at all and can leave them at stock height setting.

Transfer case oil at 30,000 miles. Not bad, but glad I did it. $84 total ain’t bad insurance for the next 30,000.

Yup…Thanks again for the push off the nest!!!!

Next major one is the trans.

Yes. .000001% guy here - as I installed Bilstein Shocks 6112/5160 (what a difference! zero regrets) w/ no lift... yes, not a typo. No lift (the "000001% guy" part her on TW). I just do not see the point - too many cons vs the pros. And umm, cough cough, my truck is actually frequently off road - probably another 000001% guy.

And @Soft Taco and/or T.O.D., your PDF guide and YouTube channels are such a blessing for Tacoma Universe.

P.S. that far right vertical bar (drivers side) that needs to be removed on spark plug change - turns out - w/ ratchet extensions and universal joint, I didn't need to loosen that bar (bottoms a b*tch as you know) at all - it was quite easy.
