Looking at having a new 23 ordered.
What should I expect as far as other cost or bs.
Any other options a must have?
Is the factory warranty included in cost of new vehicle?

 

Do not expect to be able to order in that configuration. You will have to find one that is built or scheduled to be built.

Because they are going to start prioritizing 2024 Tacoma production

 

that is a fair price if it includes the lift kit and LED lights as it says.

yes the factory warranty is included.

as far as other BS or must haves, the BS depends on your dealer and the must haves depend on your intended use. i would say a bed mat is a must have. i put a canopy on because it was a must have.

i also changed the factory shift knob and added seat jackers. these were not must haves but sure improved the truck, for me.

 

Toyota doesn't allow custom ordering. Also, the likelihood of an AC 6m long bed being scheduled for build is not great.

 

Check the current and incoming inventory and choose from that. Go to the dealer and rail on and and on, about the 24's and how bad ass they are. Tell them how much you dislike the rear doors on the access cab. and are disappointed that it has rear seats. Maybe that will work in your favor to getting a 23, or not.

 

Because you cannot "build-to-order" Toyota vehicles. They are predetermined by Toyota and you have to search and/or have a dealer search and bargain to have a vehicle with the right specifications (trims, options, colors, etc) brought to the dealer that you are looking to buy from.

The days of checking the boxes of options that you want on an order form and waiting for "your truck" to be built are long gone...

The dealer who has the vehicle you can live with (sorry, but that is truth) may be 200 miles away, especially as people gobble up remaining 3rd Gens.

 

I definitely didnt get the one I wanted but this one aint so bad either. Only really missing the leather seats, and sunroof for me. Also was wanting a different color but im digging the black now

Don't forget all the dealer add on fees their entitled to, plus sales tax, and registration...it will be a couple thousand more, if not a few.

 

Here's what cars.com shows for Sport AC inventory. Other sites will also show other dealers who participate on those sites. The Toyota invetory sheet is most likely the best source for available trucks.

I only show 2 MT AC trucks in the entire US, a Michigan dealer shows 2 but they're both sold.

 

$1,000 for destination charge, tag-tax-title add another $1,000, dealer prep add another $500 then add in another $2,000 for good measure.

Do not be surprised at dealer-add-ons that are low-labor-high-profit for them and may be useless to you. Dealers are in control here ... if you walk away they will just sell to another.
