Photographic evidence that 255/85/16 G003s will stuff all the way up in there on stock SR5 wheels.

About to spring for new tires for my 22 TRD OR with factory suspension. Leaning towardsGoodyear DuraTrac 255x75xr17
Will be used for 75% on road driving in CO with 25% light off roading to get to trailheads, fishing spots, etc.

The Duratracs seem like a good compromise of OR capability while not being super rough / C-D class ply rating tires, so should be comfy for on road driving.

I Blizzaks for winter, so not too concerned about performance there, but the DuraTracs do get good review for winter.

Sounds like 225-75-r17 is the biggest pizza that can go on stock 3rd gen suspension?

Based on your driving, Michelin LTX M/S would be my choice.

I work in the bush and run 235/85-16 E Duratracs and get them siped for year round use.

How are those M-55s road manners. Noise, ride quality. I have looked at them a few times but the fact that they are an older tire design kept me from buying, that and not knowing anyone that has them.

They are very popular among loggers in our area of BC. The roads are built from blast rock (sharp) and very hard on tires. The M-55s are extremely durable, which matters when you are way out in the bush.
I found they can cake up when on silty or clayey soil, which is why I opted for the MT in the non-icy part of the year. But on hard surfaces, they are excellent.

Mrs. Hunter, whose behind is both more sensitive and far more attractive than mine, prefers her 10-ply BFG KO2s, as they provide a nicer ride and are quieter.

If you’re going out in the boonies, both the KO2 and M-55 are tough, but the latter are tougher. We are willing to risk the very low probability of replacing a flat on her truck because most of her off-road adventures are in nice (or at least not horrible) weather.
I’m willing to put up with a bit less comfort in exchange for knowing I’ll (probably) never have to put on my spare in a snowstorm, after dark, on a steep incline, with an elk in the bed, and grizzly bears listening to me cursing the minor atmospheric deities.

Agree, lots of loggers running these as was the drill contractor on my last job. They generally sneer at tires the geo crew runs but were impressed with my Duratracs. i find the KO2 downfall is breakup mud and neither them or the M-55 do well in winter snow/ice unless studded.

I saw them there posted last night. The look pretty cool, but I'd love to see them mounted up so that I can see how they look.

I have SCS F5's in 17x8.5 and I am wondering if I should stick with a wider tire to avoid tires debeading when aired down.

@Road Bull great point! You don't want a tire debeading while off roading. Hopefully someone has had some experience with them and can let us know.

You’re not going to pop a bead unless your really doing obstacles that pinch your tire.

How'd these perform prior to getting the new bumper? I can see you're kissin the back of the liner a bit, curious how the front did.

Lookin at getting these tires also on stock sr5.

Not gonna lie, I’ve considered switching to 17” wheels just to get the Kenda RTs.
