Favorite Whiskey?

This Penelope is my new favorite, plus co-worker hooked me up with this Buffalo Trace White Dog.

 

So much hype around this one on YouTube and other places. I was pretty skeptical because a lot of it seemed/ felt like paid promotions.

Gotta say it's pretty darn good. Different than most others I've had. Can't put my finger on what exactly I'm picking up but I am enjoying it.

 

Just recently got my hands on the BiB in Nashville.. haven't opened it, but looking forward to seeing how it is.

Stumbled on to some Hardin's Creek Clermont today. A pretty penny for each, but this *is* 17 year old choice Beam juice. So I'll live.

 

Finds #2 and #3.. had the Daddy Rack here last year and was pleasantly surprised. Thought the single barrel would be worth a shot, too.

 

Words can't describe the level of enjoyment this bottle brings me.

 

Didn’t wanna rock the boat but for some reason I honestly prefer the 100 proof

 

I’m with you, I wasn’t sure what I liked so much about that bottle but it didn’t last long

 

Needed an extra pot of coffee for work today, the tasks in front of me are important but so, so tedious.

 

So between this and yesterday's Hardin's Creek, obviously Beam just dropped on my area.

 

I’ve watched some videos that have talked about this bottle. But I’ve been hesitant to try because I have not liked one bottle of Texas whiskey/bourbon that’ ive tried. Like you say, something different in the flavor that I don’t necessarily care for. But, outside of the YT vids, you are the first I’ve read. I bet my buddy would like this though, as he likes that texas flavor profile. Perhaps I’ll buy it for him - his birthday is coming up.

 

@Kanyon71 both my glasses arrived safely. I gotta say using a true GC really brings out the nose. I understand it now.
