    Snug top Rebel, Thule tracks, ditch tracks, Bagged rear suspension, F/R anytime camera, intermittent wiper switch...
    Modern aluminum engines don’t seem to take well to overheating. Prevent or your screwed. Had the exact same thing happen with a ‘99 4.0 Ranger. Clogged radiator led to overheating at low speeds and hill(once each) and a new radiator just meant more money wasted when I needed a new engine right after.

    Side note: Whoever installed your front coilovers, put the lower bolts in backwards. Also, you need a new carrier bearing. Small stuff compared to your engine troubles.

    I'd get a 2nd opinion. If for sure needs headgasket, in my humble opinion I'd find a low mileage, used engine and swap it in.
