Key word preventative.....Looking at replacing the Belts (squealing like a Nissan) and Pulleys, Spark plugs, Water-pump, Thermostat, that drippy front crankshaft oil seal. Anything else while they are there?

Haven't needed to do much to this machine. Pretty happy but she is getting up in age.

The crank seal is not a common thing to leak.
Are you sure it’s not from the timing cover?

I’d also recommend doing the transmission, transfer case, and differentials.
I personally wouldn’t touch the water pump until you have to. It’s not uncommon to see them go 200k+.

I did the transmission and other fluids will do sparks too. definitely that seal. It is such a slow leak I have never worried about it. Looks like other peoples posts.

I'd do the serpentine belt and plugs every 100,000 miles. I do oil chages at 10,000 and won't touch transmission fluid until I replace the transmission. If it ever goes bad. I replaced diff and TC oil at 170,000 Do the rest if/when it needs it. I'm at 240,000 miles on my 07 and most everything else came from the factory. The alternator did die at 180,000. If you actually follow the recommended maintenace and take it back to the dealer to have the work done you'll spend $10,000-$15,000 to get to 250,000 miles. Not counting tires and batteries I've spent around $2000. And that includes the alternator and brakes.

Thanks to all the tutorials I swapped the belt, did differentials, a little over for some reason, and the plugs two of which were not actually torqued the last time the dealer did it. Runs solid. Belt had 126K and could have gone longer. Again thanks for the info on this site. I am confident in turning a wrench just need a little tutorial. Application of the screw driver to hold the tensioner open is money.
