Hey yall posting this to get a rough pricing on what you paid for a cab mount relocation? I have the DRT kit and I'm located around Charlotte, NC. I was quoted $1250 at one shop, claiming it to take 10-12 hours. Honestly if anyone can do this in the area or around Charlotte, let me know. Cash in hand. 20230522_154528.jpg 20230522_154637.jpg

I was quoted $600 in FL by someone who is very experienced and does great work.

And to me that is reasonable. I'm still calling around, I'll post more to follow on the other pricings when they send me quotes. I'm considering just driving out of state at this point.

The big issue you run into is the grinding time and working around the wire harness. If you can grind, you can do a lot of the work yourself and just have a mobile welder come to you to burn in the new mounts. I have talked to a few mobile welders who have quoted me $100/hr to burn. Assuming 1-1.5 hours per side...you should be looking at 2-3 hundies.

Even with gas money you'd probably be $400-500 cheaper lol. But id def try to find someone localish. If not let me know we can work something out if you don't want to bend over backwards to that shop lol.

I’m on the same boat. Are the kits pretty much the same quality? I see there’s C4 for the whole kit with fender mods and the there’s the dirt kings.

I’m able to make the cmc work with 35 but I would like more clearly.

I honestly cannot tell you about other kits. But do your research as I believe the DRT kits are more durable.

I can speak for C4 - quality is excellent. Happy customer here! Their high-clearance fender liners are so pretty it makes me sad it will just be seeing dirt and rocks all of its life.

    Hey dude!
We were the first with this design for cmr kits. I am not one to bash other company’s only relaying what I have been told.

you will have to modify to bushing hole because they do not fit as they come(heard this from atleast 10 people)

The bottom washer they provide will make noise inside of the tube when it flexes. (We make our own washers to fix this)

their frame overlay plate has less bends which results in a poor frame fit up. I have been told it took a hand full of clamps to get in place

the bottom of their mount is open which asks for debris to gather and creates an area you can’t paint that will consistently see moisture.

Again these are things I have been told and haven’t not personally held theirs. They makes great stuff just giving my .02

here’s a comparison between the two.

also TW members get 10% off with code Azusa10

let me know if you have any questions!

Whatever kit you decide to get just please get one with a frame overlay plate. Last thing you want is for your frame to tear. Have seen and fixed dozens of kits with designs lacking the overlay plate.

OP call Oliver’s Drive Shaft in Winston. They do a lot more than drive shafts and gears so I bet they could hook you up. Perry’s Metal Fab in Mooresville is close to you and I’ve heard good things. There are a few places down there who are great. Kenneth Best in Colfax and Anderson Welding in Kernersville also do good work.
