Well guy’s, from a performance standpoint the Ranger Raptor is going to destroy the 4th gen. More HP, front and rear locker, more suspension travel and bead locks. Toyota is using wheel off set and suspension seats to make up for travel numbers. Will I buy one? Yes for the wife to daily and light trail use. Price will play a big part in this decision. Now back to solar;)

I heard you get a free case of bud light and $250 target gift card with ranger raptor purchase. :)

    Ranger Raptor, sorry TW
I’d rock the RR, but production won’t ramp up for a while. I see carsandbids being flooded with new release RR’s being flipped for $10,000-15,000 over MSRP if they got them for sticker.

In the OP's scenario it sounded like the regulations imposed to continue using fossil fuels and the compliance software required, made it more expensive than renewables. Without the govt regulation the fossil fuel option would be less expensive.

I am aware how fuel prices are set.

Glad the Tesla worked our for your use case and needs. It won't for mine, it could possibly work for a the second car in the family but not mine. Its a shame more companies don't dive into the PHEV that seems like the best of both worlds.

If the Govt would get out of the way, I think the PHEV would be the better option all the way around.

Are these range and hour numbers correct?

No wonder the super chargers are always packed. I've wonder why the focus on range, and range anxiety is front and center for EV marketing. If which ever EV manufacturer said you are only getting 18hrs of drive time on a full charge, that doesn't sound like an appealing mode of transportation. I certain am not driving 18hrs a day.

How can electric delivery vans really be viable? What's the average delivery route 10hrs? I don't know what kind of hrs an electric delivery van gets, in terms of a full battery, but even with a full charge and regenerative breaking. They driver is probably getting close to the vans total range on the way back to the distribution center.

Nice try, but not exactly. Extraction would fall under the same compliance, but consumption wouldn’t because EVs in any format output far less emissions that impact your health or the environment.

    Weeks?

Fourth Gen Forum is just the natural evolution of Third Gen Forum. Nothing is on topic, and off topic, all the time.

Getting in the way was not the right choice of words, I should have said manipulating the market.

A 24 pack of bud light is worth about the same as 1 gallon of gas
