Thanks for the compliment! (I would have preferred your white color) What was interesting to me is that the my truck sat on the dealerships lot for a little over 6 weeks. It was traded in the end of December and I purchased it mid February of 2020. Not wanting to get ripped off, I looked up the NADA value prior to going to see the truck and noted that the dealership was asking $1400 over NADA valuation. This is so normal in the Denver area as Tacoma's are a hot item and don't last when put on CL. When I got home from the purchase, I threw the VIN number into google and saw an older listing of the truck in which the dealership was originally listing the truck for $26,700! So apparently, no one was biting at that price and they dropped it to the $25,100 price that I paid. I felt like the stars were lining up for me.

Fast forward to 2023, with inflation, used Tacoma's are off the charts here in the Denver area. I could get all of my money back and then some. I recently saw someone on CL with a 2012 like mine, mileage in the high 40k range, asking a ridiculous 29k for it. It boggles my mind what folks are willing to pay.

    -Dave

Thank you for the welcome. And thank you for your service to our country.

Prices haven't dropped much here either. Maybe "eased" but nothing drastic. Used vehicles are desirable because of the interest rates. It's a huge punch on a new truck vs used. I checked the NADA and Kelly Blue Book values recently and I could easily get what I paid for it. Carmax was a good chunk lower which didn't really surprise me.

Hey all, first post. Got my black 2023 SR w/heated seats and remote start recently. This is my first time having a new ride and it's been great so far!

Time to get some better wheels though, not quite sure on what though...decisions :rolleyes::rolleyes: The steelies on the base model are definitely don't look very good.

    Hello Tacoma World,

This is the first new truck I have ever owned and am excited to see where it takes me. My truck is a 2023 Tacoma Off-Road in Magnetic Grey Metallic. I have done a few odds and ends so far on the interior to get rid of the chrome (just not my style) and added window tint. We will be pulling a MDC Explorer FF off road camper and doing some wheeling with our new truck. I live in southeastern Ohio and will primarily be off-roading and camping in the West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee area. I look forward to being part of the Tacoma world community and all that this community has to offer!IMG_7364.jpg

I've already been here for two weeks and just seeing this thread.

Just bought the 5th vehicle of my lifetime, a 2023 Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD in Lunar Rock. I've had a '93 Dodge Intrepid that Hurricane Katrina killed (170k miles), a 2000 Toyota Corolla that somebody else's illegal left turn totaled, a Honda Accord I traded in, a Honda CR-V that I'm in now but trading in this week, and now Toyota again because I just love Toyota.

It'll mostly be a suburban mall-runner and child taxi (boys, 7 & 3), but I'm also Cubmaster for our local Cub Scout pack so will be camping a few times per year, and I'll be pulling a small boat soon enough when my Dad can't do it himself. It's flat all over here in the New Orleans area, so not much off-roading or opportunities to test those controversial demon brackets on any kind of recovery (seems like a bad idea, btw). But it is my first new vehicle and my first truck, so I knew I had a lot to learn.

When we decided to buy a truck I knew I pretty much only wanted a Tacoma, but used 2019's with 30k miles are going for 5k MORE than brand new here, so wifey game me explicit permission to buy new which is something you have to act on with a quickness in my house. Bit of a wait for it, though, so I've been here learning and SPENDING. My God the pile of crap I've bought. You guys have cost me a fortune and should be ashamed.

Lunar Rock taco comes this week hopefully (it's currently Sunday, so fingers crossed). Can't wait to start bolting and sticking stuff onto her. Got gorilla ramps and fancy new jacks and everything. Can't wait.

Air Dam is coming off day ONE.

If Cement was still offered, it would be my first choice. I'll be taking Lunar Rock as a very close 2nd.

    Hello TW,

I recently purchased a 23 TRD Pro and really enjoying it. I've been reading a bunch of threads and learning tons of new info about the Gen 3 truck. Planning on doing some modifications, just don't know exactly what yet. I did install a diamond back bed cover and now able to utilize the bed w/o getting my items wet. Can't wait to do more mods!

I just recently joined on the account that I just purchased my first truck, a 2020 Black Tacoma TRD Sport. I looking for ideas concerning modifications. Also looking to meet people in the community. Hopefully a little of both

Always loved the look of the Tacoma but after a recent trip from Nebraska to Colorado to do some climbing, I got the bug big time. They are all over out there where 4x4 trails begin and at the parking at the end which only made my addiction worse. Got back to Lincoln, drove by our local Toyo dealer and bam, a nice 2020 Cement Offroad with 20K on it just staring me in the eye, so I bought it. Bonus happened to have premium package so leather, moonroof, jbl...didn't need it but I do feel a little gray poupon-ish now. :) Newest vehicle I have bought myself and I'm in my 40s so it felt pretty sweet.
Blacked out most everything I could do right off the bat on the exterior. New matte black badging on sides and back, red embossed sticker over Toyota tailgate handle and some matte vinyl for the wheels.
Did a little reading here and sounds like a pretty rad community here. Thanks for letting me join.
