I am approaching 100k mile service and have about $500 currently that I can spend on maintenance. What are the most important services that I should spend my $500 to keep my Tacoma going? Flushes, spark plugs? I do my oil changes myself so no need to include that.

    Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Plugs are due every 60k on this generation so if you haven't already, do that. Obviously we don't know your service history so I'll just assume nothing was done and give recommendations...

    Spark plugs
    Spark plug gaskets
    Intake gasket
    PCV valve
Clean MAF sensor and throttle body
    Engine air filter
    Cabin air filter
BG 44K in the fuel tank for a cleaning
    Transmission fluid drain and fill
Front differential (if you have 4x4)
    Rear differential
Transfer case (if you have 4x4)
    Brake fluid flush
    Coolant flush
BG EPR in oil right before next oil change

Most stuff is easy and can be done yourself, obviously your experience wrenching will determine what you can/want to handle. $500 goes a long way DIY though, probably could do everything I just listed for that much money, maybe less.

I was completely unaware that this is necessary. Interesting.
