Seen this on other forums, might as well start one here. If you know of a reputable dealer that will take orders at MSRP, post it up.
I'm sure some people will order out of state and travel is necessary.

Lum's Toyota on the Oregon coast - Astoria/Warrenton has never charged a market adjustment fee. Don't know whether they are taking orders yet though.

The market has softened quite a bit now, new 3rd gen (excluding TRD Pro) the lowest prices I have seen are $3-4k off MSRP.

MSRP maybe a good deal during the first few months when 4th gen launches, but they are definitely a bad deal when the production ramps up especially if you're buying SR5, TRD OR/SPORT, Limited.

If I were to buy a Pro or Trailhunter, I'd get on the list of one of those MSRP dealers, Gulf States such as Toyota of Cedar Park (maybe $1k tint and ceramic coat, but that's still a good deal) and wait for it.
For non Pro nor Trailhunter, I'd use a broker service such as Jim Rouleau's New Toyota Deals facebook group, gotta travel nationwide but it's gonna be pretty much the lowest deals even after paying for broker fee. They consistently have Tundras (Non Pros) around $4-5k off right now and no dealer around me can get anywhere close to that discount.

Why are people still paying MSRP? Mind boggling

Will never happen. Even if you convinced every single user of this forum, and all the other Toyota forums and groups as well, that’s a very small fraction of all Tacoma owners. I think that’s something that is easily forgotten around here. We are not the majority, not even close to it. Toyota will sell thousands of these trucks to people who can pay MSRP straight cash without much stress at all.

Are dealerships already taking preorders for the 4th gen? When are these trucks expected to begin shipping to dealers?

I think most models will be out by the end of the year.

The TRD Pro and Trail Hunter thing probably by next March.
