Funny you say that, I can probably count 5 or 6 RTTs in my office parking lot on any given day.

Overlanding is just commuting to work but if it’s mildly overcast you turn on the chinesium raptor lights and amber fogs on your 5th gen 4Runner.

How awkward are these conversations you have with everyone about their vehicle usage to determine if they are worthy of having a tent on it? I daily drive a cruiser and I keep a low profile RTT on top all the time. I slept over 30 nights in it last year. In between all those nights you will see it at the office, on the freeway in the city, in airport parking lots, at the grocery store, and maybe even occasionally at a mall (gasp!).

About as awkward as seeing Audi station wagons with skis on their roof racks in the middle of summer. The attention economy is real.

Partial list: Vagabond Drifter 3rd Gen OR rear axle 4.30 gears Bilstein 6112s and Tundra 5160s.
My Vagabond Drifter camper requires a forklift to remove it (and a place to store it in the meantime) so I guess I'll keep driving to the grocery with it installed. :)
