I have been looking for this picture for awhile to share here. This is my 1980 long bed 3/4 ton I bought for 200 bucks 30ish years ago I drove it for 2 years and it never gave me a single issue. I sold it for 10 dollars to a neighbor kid (it had 20 bucks worth of gas and 15 dollars worth of loose change in the seats) I had 3 roommates and 11 vehicles on my property the neighbors were sick of all the vehicles and I don't blame them. This picture was taken on the way out of the woods from my first successful turkey hunt. On the way in there were 2 puddles like this one we went around one and through the other. As you can see I forgot which one we went through and which one we went around. What you can't see is the bed had huge rusted out holes behind the tires. When my brother went to push it mud covered him. So I made the 2 mile hike down to the main road, on the way down I startled a momma moose and her calf. She bluff charged and then headed out. For the record that's the most scared I have ever been in the woods. I got lucky when I got to the main road and a truck that had some recovery gear was coming. It only took a couple of minutes to get unstuck. That is one of my favorite hunting stories. I am so glad I was able to find that picture. 20230529_102939.jpg

Wonder if it’s still on the road. I’ve been lunged at 2 different times by brown bears. Not fun!

I just saw a truck just loke that this morning, The guy was hauling a full bed of bricks/mortar, un-loading at the land fill/ transfer station east of cambridge, mn. What a good little work horse those trucks are!
