I've read in a couple places that the new OR will come with 33s. That's a pretty sizeable increase from the stock 265/70R16s (30.61") that come on the '23 Off-roads. Does that imply that the OR will come from the factory with a bit of a lift "like" the Pro and TH compared to the SR5? Do you think it will have a wider track as well?

I'll be putting my name on a list tomorrow to get in line for when the '24s are available for order. Initially I was debating between the SR5 and an OR, but if the OR is going to come a little more how I would want it from the factory it makes that decision easier. I won't be doing any serious off roading, but I do spend a bit of time in the Canadian Rockies here camping and finding hiking trailheads along with storm chasing during the ski season so I like what the OR might offer.

Join me in some speculation or wishing? Excited for my first Tacoma so I appreciate you bearing with a newb here.

From the material released up to now, they all indicate 33s and sway bar disconnect are available on OR

so my speculation is that there will be an upgrade package that gives you 33s and sway bar disconnect, not going to be standard option on TRD OR

Available being the operative word there. Would probably cut into the sales of the Pro if it was standard. I guess final pricing will dictate whether it's an SR5 or an OR with upgrades. I built an SR5 TRD OR Tundra yesterday online and was actually surprised at how "reasonably" it was priced compared some of the new Chevy half tons I'd been looking at. Gave me hope that the new Tacoma wouldn't be priced stupidly.

The 24 OR is looking to be pretty similar to the 3G Pro. It’s just way too well appointed with aux reservoir shocks, 33 wheels, disengaging stability bars etc to be considered the common 4x4 model. The SR5 will prob take that title and come in more configs like short and long beds, manual, automatic etc. Also bet there will be a shit ton of packages for the SR5 and prob 1-2 for the TRDs.

That prospect has me a little bit excited, and I'd definitely jump on board with that. Although something like the current trail edition in an SR5 trim would interest me as well. I wasn't around for the launch of the third gen, but did it take awhile for some of those packages to become available?

I'd love it if it was available with the heritage grill as well.

The trail edition was 2022 I think. Not much has been available expect the tech packages.

Does anyone know wether the added dimension to the bed refers to the wheel wells allowing 4" wide materials ?

I thought I read it was mostly depth (or height) so you could fit taller coolers and camping gear under a tonneau cover. That said, I thought I also read that it was overall wider even if the cab width was the same. Being able to carry a few 4x8 sheets of plywood in the bed would be unreal. Or easier snowmobile transport too.

Deposit paid and on the list. Should be able to order details by mid to late summer with delivery anywhere from late Nov to early Feb. Salesman still not sure what trims will be offered first.
