Hello i have a 2006 TRD Sport Tacoma Manuel . I am wondering about good headlight bulbs to replace what i currently have . Witch i think are halogen . i'm hopping to get my lights Brighter. And if anyone could recammond me some good Bulbs. Also if anyone is selling or giving away im in need of a new shift knob as mine is torn . thats all for now and thanks

Welcome! Definitely a gigantic rabbit hole to climb down. If you're looking for LED replacements that don't involve replacing the housing, there are a couple of things to remember.

Don't just run out and get the cheapest thing you see on Amazon. Quality bulbs are going to cost you. It's not just quality, but design. You'll want something that has an LED chip that closely matches the size and position of the filaments in your stock bulb. Otherwise you'll be throwing light and glare where you don't want it and, although your lights will seem brighter, you won't be actually getting anything more than better light immediately in front of you. Good ones will look more like a "blade" or flat-ish shape. Stay away from the ones that look triangular or any other shape like that.

 

I use Sylvania Silverstar ZXE’s, they are white, bright and have a nice cutoff, I also run them on my wife’s Honda cr-v.

All I have run in my halogens are the SilverStar Ultra. Nice white light, dramatically better than OEM.
