Been having a great relaxing AND productive weekend over here. Had family and a bunch of friends over yesterday for a fun and quite boozey BBQ and managed to make some significant progress on the pool deck today.

    PXL_20230529_022205121.jpg

@Aztec120 has generously volunteered to stop by tomorrow to lend me a hand and his experience with installing my new front camera on the truck. Looking forward to that!

Memorial day weekend has always been special to me. My dad would have been 76 yesterday. He was a proud veteran who passed away a couple years ago and I miss him dearly. His father died shortly before I was born from alcoholism and what we now recognize as PTSD. His plane was shot down over Poland and he spent time in a POW camp, starving and scavenging for food. My grandpa on my mom's side was a staff sergeant in charge of a fleet of vehicles overseas in WWII. He was a stoic man and the only times I ever witnessed him get emotional were at his mother's funeral (my great grandmother, who lived to 98) and one day when he brought out photo albums from his service time and pointed out which of his brothers didn't make it back home to their families.

I hope you and your families are all able to find some time to relax and to spend a minute or two in thought for the fallen this weekend. Cheers friends.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Anyone looking to get a set of sliders for the upcoming 5th gen Taco?

Big shout out to @Aztec120 for coming over today to help me out with my R4T anytime front camera! Your knowledge and experience was much appreciated. I would have spent all weekend (or more) installing it and second guessing every step of the installation.

I've been very fortunate to have had the help of several forum members in making changes and upgrades to my truck. This is a great community and I hope I am able to pay it forward to others here.

Really nice! Won't do you any good splattered with mud, though.

Not only will this group help you spend your money, they'll pass along knowledge on installation once the money's been spent!

I'm done for the weekend. Besides the lawn reclamation project and getting my grocery shopping done, I got this mounted:

Yes, boys, we have solar. Hopefully next weekend it can be wired to the power station (should happen, even though I'm gone most of the day Sat). It's held down by five 5" wide strips of VHB tape, one across the front and 4 going the length. I gave it a slap and said: that shit ain't goin' nowhere! ;)

Shout out to Adam @wi_taco for the knowledge and advice on a basic power setup!

eidt: don't look too close...you might see a Hi-Lift in there. I was wrong, sale was $90...still a good deal.

I'm the one that left with a 6 pack of beer and the chance to say "Gonna have to spit on it Dean" more than once

But seriously, can't think of a better way to spend a day off than working on a Taco. Even if it's somebody else's. Just gives me more ideas.

    Expensive ideas.

Ditto on the mud. But that's why you keep a pack of Boss Wipes in the truck

My next mod is to splice the washer fluid line, install a controller and run it to a tiny wiper for the camera. :D

Merc and Beemer make tiny wipers. If you're serious, we can make this happen.... :D

And maybe you could route the washer fluid through a high pressure fuel pump and pressure wash them...no need then for wipers!

You don't need a wiper just get one of those headlite washer nozzle and a second pump on a toggle switch.
