All of you who have the differential skid plate installed... where does the cross member mount? Can you shoot some pics for me? That is the last piece I am missing and I need to get thinking about how to mount it up. Have some great fabricators coming back next year so it will be a nice project for someone. Also need to do that pesky exhaust cross over relocation... Thanks in advance

I choose not to run a diff skid. You end up loosing about 1/2 in ground clearance.

You guys all look like you had great weekends. I had to work part of it so I took the time to accomplish tasks around the house and then I gave my Tacoma a wash. Always enjoy giving it a little detailing while enjoying one of Wisconsins craft beers

So I went out kayaking today, super nice morning out. Didn't catch much but that's totally fine.

While driving, on the way out I noticed the inside of my windshield was extremely dirty. The universe said hey, I'll help you with that.

Learned my first lesson with the softopper. Mowing/bagging the lawn. I figured it’d be nice and easy to dump the lawn clippings in the back of the truck with the topper folded down. It was, by upon arriving back I realized I should’ve closed the topper up befor driving as there were grass clippings in every crevice in the topper as I brought it back up. I spent a good 30-40 minutes with the hose in the back getting all of the grass out. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

I am concerned, as the factory bolt on thing is mangled-clearly I have gotten into it. Seems by looking at things I will only loose about a 1/4". Also, on another note I heard that Tom Woods is no longer doing Tacoma one piece drive shafts...

I've heard that also. I think a large part of it was their return policy, if it didn't solve the vibration issue you could get a full refund. To not make them at all is kind of over the top. Good thing I have 2 of them :anonymous:

Can always have Adams Driveshaft make one. It's not listed on their site but they'll sure do it for you if ever needed.

Cross member for a diff skid? o_O

True but mangling the mating surface and springing a leak on the trail is kind of a worse problem to have in my opinion :D

Oh, do you mean the skid in the front (engine skidplate)? I thought you were talking rear diff skid.

Well, without insurance it would have been just about $1000 so I guess $250 isn't horrible...
