Yeah, having it hanging there really puts how huge it is into perspective.

anyone know if these work with the Badlands Jack

such as 3.5 ton XL jack rod
per website for use in high weight jacks on lifted vehicles

but doesn’t say if Badlands compatible

If you look at the front bar of most other jacks, it is a straight bar going right across from the bottom to hook into. The Badlands Jack has a cover that looks like it will get in the way of looking into that front bar. it is really close, it might work, but I'm thinking unfortunately not so much.

Wanted to report back that my Badlands jack lasted shy of 11 months now and just died (or at least appears that way for now). Jacked up rear axle of Taco last night and put on jackstands, then went to take it back off the stands and it wouldn't chooch. Weather here is super cold next few days so I won't get to putz with it for a bit but it may be going back to the store for replacement/refund. Sad thing is I have only used it in my garage and driveway and not offroad so it has lived a pampered existence to date.

Edit: Posted below that jack is not dead. Possibly has a mystery leak or stubborn re-bleeding but it's alive again.

have you adjusted the jack oil level
this is required on new jacks

Checked when it was new, everything was fine, I have 3 other floor jacks so not my first rodeo. Did I check yesterday? No. "Weather here is super cold next few days so I won't get to putz with it for a bit."

You edited the rest of your post so I can't respond to whatever else it said before.

My bad, maybe you've done it and know it but if not:

-get a bottle of jack oil, keep it. You have 3-4 jacks. It's cheap, like $5. HFT may sell it. If not, auto parts stores, certain hardware stores, Amazon, etc.
-I believe the procedure is this. Get the jack flat. Tight handle. Open the fill port screw. It can be tricky to get to on the Badlands. Make sure it's filled to the top with oil, but enough to still be able to put the screw in. It will drip some. Close it.
-give it a few cycles of up and down to try and work air to the top
-repeat procedure a couple times until done

    in my experience
-a jack can still somewhat "work" without this being done, but not work right
-new jacks tend to not have this done from factory, and need it. Any one I've had has needed it to work right, and now does
    even good quality
not just my BadLands; I've had 2 or 3 Arcans new over the years. They needed it too.

For sure takes less time than driving to the store and back

Thanks for trying to be helpful, but I don't think I am being understood here. Please see my last post where I said "I have 3 other floor jacks so not my first rodeo." That means I'm well aware of how to maintain and bleed hydraulic jacks. To repeat my other post "Weather here is super cold next few days so I won't get to putz with it for a bit."

Ended up getting the jack to work again. It had fluid but was slightly low, didn't see any leaks but it had to go somewhere. Had to bleed it like 3 times and it works again. Still not sure it feels right so I'll be keeping an eye on it. False alarm on the premature death (for now).

Wall mounts for this beast? Just to keep it off the garage floor when not in use.
I'm considering building one using "L brackets" and some lumber. I'll report back if successful.

911 Motorsports has a cheap mount kit that can be bolted into wood but may need a ratchet strap to keep it from falling off, if that’s even strong enough to handle it.

I think the original design idea on their mount was laying flat on a trailer

Alright guys here's the wall mount. I used 1x3 lumber, wood glue, heavy duty screws, two 6 inch "L" brackets and some bolts. I spent maybe $20 on materials. I'm planning on painting it flat black next.

Just to be a critic, because I am an engineer ... I would put now as after-product 2 "legs" that angle out (30 degree, maybe) that bridges the floor to the bottom of the box ... distribute the "falling weight" a bit.

Picked this jack up a couple weeks ago. It's great. Was switching out my summer wheels to my winter wheel setup.

I like this idea. It will still keep the garage floor clear by cutting the legs in an angle.

i wonder, then, would the pro eagle jack lock work for the badlands?
