I got the basket cleaned up with some steel wool and a wire bit on my Dremel. Painted it satin black and put it back on the truck. Turned out pretty good and we used it this past weekend to haul our trash back from camp. The paper towel holder is from Expedition Essentials and is ... essential!

Got bored yesterday morning and was staring at the hood of the Tacoma and had some leftover vinyl and decided to wrap the hood scoop.

I took advantage of RCI Off-Road's sale and ordered a roof rack. I'm super stoked! I've been wanting one for awhile now. Now to impatiently wait for it to arrive..

    Hello,
I have a Bak Revolver X4s Tonneau Cover, do they make any Bars that can be used with a rolling Tonneau Cover so that i can put a rack on the back of my Tacoma, and install an awning on it or either my future roof rack, id like to be able to add a kayak holder up there as well., any recommendations?

Billie Bars told me to send them pictures of the bed set up for my present cover., but i wanted other opinions

unnamed.jpgRoutine oil change this morning. It has become muscle memory and can get it done in <45 minutes now, getting up and down off the ground less than 10 times. I consider that a big win, since the first time I changed it on this truck it took me ~2hrs (while following a video) and I got up and down a solid 30 times

Just for fun, here is a pic of a loaner that I got to drive for MDW. Its a 2014 Mclaren C12. Has a 3.8L TT V8 with built turbos running at 21psi; the owner (family friend) claims 900hp+, (makes low 600s stock) I believe it gets every bit of 700whp but idk about 900. Regardless, compared to my 3rd gen taco it feels like a spaceship. My favorite part about the car is that it has over 60,000 miles. Its nice to see a supercar like this actually get used instead of spending its life under a tarp in a garage. unnamed (1).jpg

Did you claim your FREE cat guards as well, or do you need to call them and have those added?

Took advantage of the long weekend and cut a big hole in the truck to add the driver side bed cubby that Toyota removed from the 2020+ trucks. I lost a lot of interior storage with the audio install so I wanted to regain as much as I could to use for basic recovery gear and whatever else I haven't been able to carry. Aside from making a huge mess, it was a pretty easy install. Went full OEM down to the bed bolts and I think it turned out pretty good. Picked up a nutsert tool and it is the coolest thing, I'm going to be putting M6's all over the place now lol.

    Part numbers:
    64742-04010 Pocket Box
    64074-04011 Cover
    90148-A0006 (x6) Bolts

The OEM bolts are M6 thread pitch and use a t25 torx.

Also picked up a Smittybilt recovery hitch that hopefully I won't need to use. I probably won't leave it installed but I don't hate the look.

Nice! Those are on my list too. Let me know what you think when they arrive. I've heard nothing but good things about RCI. I'm going to order their sliders at some point.

Nicely done. Do you have the part numbers for the cubby and everything needed?

I contacted PerryParts on Sunday after hitting the dirt again and let them know about the harshness in the rear, after a few different trips and types of terrain. He said he only has a few of the rear bump stops for Tacos out there in use currently and is going to send me another set of rears to test out after asking me for my main concerns...fingers cross that these are better dialed in, as the front set performs amazingly for affordable rubber/foam bump stops.

Thx! Been wanting to do this for a while. Since the truck only has 5k miles on it I wanted to get nice new parts to match, but you could save a lot of cash grabbing a used one from eBay. All the used ones I found were damaged though.

    Anwyays, pn's:

    64074-04011 Cover

Damn, I had almost decided that the Perry bumps will be my choice of bump stop in the rear but now I'm going to wait and see how the revised version he sends you works.
