I've reviewed it myself... All I can say is that if I'm a NASCAR official I don't see quite enough evidence to say it was intentional. Chase's news bit was smart and may very well save his ass. I know, you know, and Jesus knows that was intentional... But in the court of rules it can really go either way. The telemetry don't prove anything either. It can be explained as Chase trying to reign in an uncontrollable car. I believe it's over... Except to Denny.

Since Berry is signing with SHR, they said the hell with him and are getting someone else. This should be interesting to see Lajoie in good equipment.

Yeah, I just checked NASCARs page. Smart all around. Chase gets set, NASCAR saves face. And rating will be up because we all want to see what Corey can do.

Not a fan of Hamlin, but dumping someone at Martinsville, the slowest track on the circuit, is different than hooking someone in the dogleg at Charlotte. Especially with the rigidity of this new car. With the precedent set with Wallace, they had no choice.

Agreed. There are also much better ways to "accidentally" take someone out and not only have plausible deniability, but also just ruin their day and not risk a major injury.

You are not wrong. Have been several issues between the 9 and 11 that is just where it started. If someone had to be sent head on into the wall though. Hamlin is not one I am upset to see it happen to. No excuse for Chase on this one though. It’s the right call but if I am Elliott I’m not sure I give a fuck either. I suspect he would do it again. I suspect he was trying to make a point that he is done being fucked with. He achieved that.

 

Good for LaJoie! I hope he has a good couple races in a good car to prove what he can do.
