Fired up the crawler to move it and it sttiiiinks. Dunno if it's burning off a little oil that leaked while sitting or what but ewwww


Also found out the reason I haven't adjusted my TPS to bring my idle down is that the PO stripped the TPS screws. I remember fighting it before and giving up because I didn't want to pull the TB but Ill be getting around to it sooner or later lol

 

I've learned to hold my breath when getting out of the 4runner so I avoid the rancid stench of burning oil from under the hood after I park.

I just changed the oil on it this last weekend and I swear it's leaking more now lol.

Went to change the front diff oil too while I was at it, apparently these early ones use a 12mm hex drain plug and not a 10mm like my Tacoma does. Gotta order one of them sons a bitches

 

Ahhh did you switch from conventional to synthetic? That could make it more likely to seep past the valve covers lol

 

that they do, if you have a 12mm bolt and two 12mm nuts you can make your own adapter.
