Did you forget how to calibrate your torque arm? You just have to remember to say "click" when it's tight enough.

Not trying to rub it in. I have 3 sets of them and 4 to 5mm on all.
One bolt would not stop me. I have been known to learn the torque spec with an Allen wrench.

I just got the paint for my grill.
Technically it’s to dark because i didn’t have them spec it however, I think I’m going to do the grill darker so I’m going to go with it. If I don’t like it, I’ll just have them mix another can up with the spec reading.

And not to be a dick, but I have a trick I have used since I started wrenching.
I can take an Allen wrench and use a torque wrench on it if you need to be anal.
That sucker would be done tonight.
    And I’m not blowing smoke.

    Actually 2 tricks.

Yea well I’d be riding now with a proper “torqued” (sic) bolt with one of my workarounds.
Torque wrenches are over rated anyway
Let it sit for 3 days.

    slowly erasing past owner hacks
Saw this thread, thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. "For stock rigs only". I read the 1st several pages and liked the idea, 290 pages wow! I know threads can morph over time so let me know if I'm in the wrong place. I'm thiking it may help me focus on the items I need to do to bring my recent family edition back to its former glory? It now lives in our Toyota family along with the wifes Prius Prime, our 06 Sienna and my older sons heavily modified Scion XB & 08 6m Tacoma 4x4.

I may be slow to respond as I just can't seem to get reply notifications??

I recently picked up an 08 xRunner. Never even heard of this edition before. It has 145k and all checked out legit. Parts and numbers good but missing the "body kit". Fool past owner pulled them for another Taco. :frusty:. Priced accordinly. The picture shows it wearing a new set of 255x45x19 aftermarket rims. I just returned it to tĥe original 225x60x18 xRunner set. Ill get pictures later. Its overall purpose is for a low use backup vehicle that can/will serve as a medium duty tow rig (single axle 6x12 enclosed utility trailer or small flat bed 4x8 utility)

I really hope to find a partinĝ out xRunner to salvage the body kit from. I'm hoping to get the word out here @ TW!

    Heres a few shots.

The 255x45x19 are now on my Sienna. Yeah I know... But its just to cute. It makes me smile whenever I see it. Kinda a nascar van out of the Disney "cars" movie

I'm a sucker for x-runners. There was a guy parting one out up here in Maine but that was last year, I think he sold all his parts. There's a couple x-runner Facebook groups that are much more active than the x-runner owners on here. Sadly those body kit parts are hard to find in good shape if you're finding them used. Good score on those x-runner wheels! That's what my daily drivers are on my base model Tacoma. I love that color matched tonneau cover!

Nice truck for sure. You'll have no problem towing those trailers.
Good luck finding the body kit.
