I was gonna buy stuff to build my Plex server and my buddy came through with an old i5/Mobo/case/PSU and three 1tb hard drives. I didn't realize I needed ddr4 and that I also had a spare stick so I'm just gonna let this ram go if I end up winning.

It doesn't post so I'm waiting on a Celeron to try, I think I need to update the mobo bios for the i5 because it came out after the mobo was made even though it's supposed to be supported

My guess is those 12 pack of locks are keyed the same; if that's the case I'll send each of you guys one as a practice lock to pick

I've done a mod or two
You only wanted easy mode? There's not a single lock in that pile that you'll have to single pin pick, you can rake them all and a couple you can use a comb pick and just lift up. The only master locks that are a challenge are the lockout tag out locks, they're a 5 pin core with spools and serrateds.

Different types (no spools) to teach me some muscle memory in learning how to 'finesse'

I won't try my hand at raking these and really want to learn how to better apply my tension wrench and get a feel for everything.

Spools are definitely next but I figured since no lock is the same, maybe one would give me more trouble than the next?

The Donner can be shimmed, but not bypassed (it's shielded) and they're harder to single pin pick versus any of the Master Locks.

Abus is next on the list since they run 3 spools.

Never tried a deadcore before though so I'll run spools for a bit before anything with a deadcore or more pins.

Spools are probably the hardest to get a feel for since you'll almost always need counter rotation to let them get by

Yeah I've learned a little about counter rotation messing with other locks that have different spring tension.

It's been fun as fuck for sure, but once I get a lock with spools you'll be the first to know (if I open it)

But yeah I'll order one now.

Either a Master Lock 570 or Abus 55/40

Prybar works on em well cause of the plastic body, the irony... masterlock uses its only non shitty lock core on its weakest lock

I go for reusables bc it's closer. Air filters, garden stuff, paintbrushes, etc., etc.

Pretty much any disconnect handle can be pulled enough to the side to go around the lock too.

I just horrified a bunch of coworkers in the break room...grabbed my taquitos out of the toaster oven and put them on a plate, then moved too fast and they all fell off the plate onto the floor. Figured fuck it, I don't want to cook more and the 5 second rule still applies so...bon appetite.

They were all like "NOOOoooo Ryan what are you dooooooinnng EEWWWWW" haha

Would you say as shocked as your family was when they saw you properly flipping a tortilla?
