Putting it together is not bad at all, tomorrow I should be installing it on my truck. Hopefully the OEM roof rack comes off with out any issues.

Got the rear axle between ubolts painted. Will corroseal and paint the rest when I replace springs and ubolts.

Finally upgraded my rear suspension today. Icon RXT leaf packs on Option 1 and Bilstein 5160s to complement the 6112s I put in last year (I probably should have saved $300 and just gone with the 5100s since I use my rig for hunting and not serious wheeling, but they’re in now!)

Im uploading pics for anyone looking for examples of what the Icon RXT packs look like on option 1 with an unloaded rig. The rear is now sitting at 23 1/2” driver - 24 3/8” passenger from center hub to top of wheel well. If they settle 1/4” like everyone says, then they will be perfectly level with the 6112s on 5/6 setting.

Looks great. In for your thoughts and for results after settlement. I recently bought, but haven't installed, 6112s at 10/8 and Icon RXT leafs with the intent on setting at Option 2. Your photos are making me lean towards Option 1 and dropping my clips down. Do you have the older style 6112s or the newer ones with 11 clips?

I’ve heard of old legends of “done”, but haven’t heard anything like that in any recent years.

Just ordered the Atoto A6 and all the applicable wiring harnesses and dash kit.

About time. Early Fathers day gift lol. Any advice. I'm pretty good with stereo installs and what not. So should be a breeze.

After a year I am still happy with mine. Just use a scosche dash kit. Metra is terrible. Put scosche in sons 2012 truck. No rattles. My 2008 metra rattles big time. Sloppy fit.

Just use the OEM brackets and the Metra surround. Et voila.

I am going to pull mine and try changing to oem brackets. If that doesn't work I will order the scosche. Metra was fine for harness adapters and door speaker mounts. I read the reviews but still tried to save a buck. My top dash clips do not engage so it is def a sorry kit. With oem clips or metra clips they do not lock in place on the metra faceplate.

Apparently, I have the older ones because I didnt even know what you were talking about when you said 10/11, ha. I bought mine summer of ‘21, they have 6 clips.

I just looked up the new ones, definitely more options now, but seems like the options are more complicated based on whether or not you have a 2nd or 3rd gen. On the 5/6 option of mine, I believe that put it at just under 2” lift, and option 1 Icon rxt’s is supposed to be about the same once settled, at 1.85” lift. But again, that’s also unloaded.

After all of the research and worrying that I did about whether or not I was making the right decisions, I would just trust the lift charts that bilstein and Icon put out.
