Looks like the White Tanks area, their proving grounds are close to there.

Can’t tell if it is camouflage or that slider is broken.

Great video for anyone who plans to use their 4th gen for something other than mall crawling.

That was excellent. Really good points all around. Quite a few issues that are going to need workarounds for modifications, it seems.

    I’m
    solid video.
I’m interested in learning more about the potential wheel offset difference that adds the additional 3” of width. That’s seems quite a bit for just a set of wheels but we’ll see!

That video also contains what might be misinformation. He claims the TH will have a 1700# payload when only the OR has a 1700# payload capacity per Toyota as far as I have seen. If anyone has proof the TH does as well, feel free to share it and educate me.

I figured with all the extras on a TH, it would have to be lower than a less outfitted OR.

1.5" per side. A change from +38mm offset wheels to 0mm would do it.

On top of that, adjusting the LCA cam bolts can change the front track width by 0.5" or so. Expect that level of variation from truck to truck depending on the lift kit installed, etc.

If you go with this generation, it will be handy to marry a Toyota software engineer. The more tech, the more opportunity for fragility.
    YMMV

Sounds like you can say that about any vehicle made in the last 10 years. People who bought the new GM twins are already reporting issues with their screen going black while driving.

I find the high tech features untrustworthy and gimmicky. I’m old though and not near as appreciative of the cool factor. Please enjoy what you like! No worries!
Just so you can laugh at grandad, I think crawl control is ridiculous. Back in my day, you had to learn to feather a clutch. :)

You don't have to use crawl control and you can still feather the clutch.

I dunno, I don't think so. I always thought it was always in an automatic trans feature.

I am old as dirt, too. But, I don't reminisce about the covered wagon days. Old days were never that good. Don't regard feathering a clutch as some special skill. Kinda like having to use punch cards for data entry. Good riddance.

Well I took it as two separate things he was talking about. I dunno if he thought CC was a feature with a manual. lol who knows.
