    Looking for some help/recommendations !

I’m looking at the Cen-Tech 630 peak amp jump starter from harbor freight. On paper it looks like it has everything I need, air compressor, jump start capability, 12v outlets, etc. now my question is, is 630 peak enough to jump start the my tacoma no problems? Also, is the air compressor going to be quick enough when airing down/airing up out on the trails, or is it going to take forever?
If there are other recommendations for my my needs, that’ll help as well!

    thanks

This is an old thread, but did you get anywhere on this? I’m looking myself currently and came across your post.

The industry standard 12v jump starter is NOCOboost.

Ditto on the NOCO booster and maintainers.

I too am looking for a 12v compressor. Stand alone type.

NOCO has been the fan favorite it seems. That’s solid. Thanks

    Noco.

I have the gb70. Good for multiple cranking attempts. I’m sure the smaller gb40 would be good enough to start one with a dead battery.

Jump n carry 660 is very popular, I see them often. They might still offer replacement batteries discounted or something. I’ve seen it used with a desktop computer, with an inverter on a cart in a warehouse.

It looks like harbor freight has improved but I don’t go there.

air compressor is personal preference. There’s a big thread for OBA / on board air. That sounds ideal to me.

some people have an ARB twin. AFAIK unfortunately the grill mount is only available for turd gen.

At this time I unfortunately carry a ViAir 88P so I can fuck around with my 35’s on the side of the road for an hour.

after that it gets very hot and I place it upright on my passenger floor to cool off, where it promptly falls over from driving multiple times.

The hose is not set up to power an air tool. Probably not enough CFM. Or to bead a tire like a PowerTank would.
I imagine it would melt if I moved on to air up a second truck.

but hey at least I have a compressor so I have air anywhere I go, and do not need to find a gas station and pay $1.50 to use an air machine with a broken pressure gauge.

NOCO jumper pack, Ridgid 18v air compressor that uses the same batteries as my impact and other 18v tools. I also have an adapter to hook USB to the 18v battery to charge my phone if needed.
