I wonder if the resi mounts from the fox factory race series would keep this from happening? I've been meaning contact @AccuTune Offroad to see what they recommend regarding the fox elite reservoirs hitting the sway bar.

I've been noticing that everyone with this problem hasn't mounted the resi up high enough. I just installed mine and I've put the mount right at the lip of the resi, as far as it can go. I also had to hammer out the wheel well a bit to get enough room. I'm hoping this will keep my sway bar from hitting it.

Cycle the suspension with a floor jack and see if it hits the sway.:notsure:

Howdy! Just installed my 2.5’s on my 2009 and got them all topped out on the wheelwell. There’s about 3” between the sway bar and the LSC knob at sag. Anyone been able to figure the min. Distance between then swaybar and LSC knob?

Jack up the vehicle on that corner by the lower control arm to try to stuff i and see. It might not be enough weight though

The only way to really test this is to remove the shock or coil and see how much travel you get before you hit the bump stop.

I get it, but if its close before it even hits the bumpstop then there is no chance it clears.

So i ended up hammering the wheel well in and got the reservoir about 1/2-3/8” higher. I did instal longer DuraBumps as well. Hope this solves it. Has anyone installed these successfully on here?

Is there any solution to this besides removing the sway bar ? Anyone successful changed the orientation of the resi ? All 4 of mine have been sent into fox for frozen adjusters . I'd like to figure out a fox before I reinstall .

I just ordered a set of these from AccUTune this morning and then saw this thread. I like a lot of the specs on these shocks versus the Kings but this gives me pause. Does anyone have pics of how the reservoir attaches to the bracket? It doesn't seem like it should be that hard to alter the way it mounts. Or even slot the upper of the two lower mounting holes (or drill another one) so the whole bracket can be slightly tilted. I have time to change my order to Kings if need be but would prefer the Fox's. I'll call AccUTune in the morning to see what their input is.

I just hammered the top of the wheel well and was able to slide the reservoirs up about 1/2”. But, maybe since you have an order # with @AccuTune Offroad they’ll answer a more specific installation question for you?
I’m going camping this weekend so… we’ll see if i can bottom them out and hope that 1/2” was enough.

On our 2019 Tacoma, we have the reservoir pushed up as high as it will go, then backed off slightly so its not rubbing the fender. Ours do not hit in their current location, which is still using the Fox bracket.

random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Just remember that there are bushings between the frame(where shock mounts) and body(where it make contacts). Bushings provide movement for a nicer ride. Soft metals against ferrous metals(steel) such as your frame will eat through the soft metal with vibration over time. So make sure you got proper clearance on those items exposed to vibration and rubbing against hard shit. And again, if you’re on. Upgraded suspension get rid of the sway bar it’s unnecessary. I’m on 5100’s with OME 885 and I have sway away from crashes on the freeway at 75+ with no issues. Cheers!

Has anyone on here have or had issues adjusting the HS knob on the front coilover? Mine is stuck and won't budge, curious to see if anyone else has this problem
