New here, just recently got a 2008 tacoma, base model single cab 4x4 with stock 16" wheels along with 245/75r16 tires.

I came across some 2018 Tacoma TRD sport 17" wheels along with 265/70r17 tires. I was hoping to negotiate a good price on but was wondering if there is there anything I should be concerned about as far as fitment? Will they bolt on without needing spacers or rubbing on wheel well/caliper? (They both are 6 lug)

    For context I run a 265/75/16 for street, and 285/70/17 for off-roading with a 1in wheel spacer and a 3in lift.

You will not rub any of the break or any components.

Yes they will bolt right on.

You may rub on the wheel well liner when steering hard left or right.
I had to trim mine back when I installed my 285’s, the truck already came with the 1in wheel spacer. ‍♂️ Which is the cause for the rubbing.

Yes they will fit, I suggest not going to the 285/70/17. You will
    Have to trim cab mounts

265/70r17 tires as other have said will fit no issues. 285 will fit, until you back out of your driveway and turn the wheel...or go up a slope, or turn full lock...

Thanks for the input guys, again more of my concern is that the actual wheels themselves won't fit when I try to mount as in rub on the caliper or something. I don't want to have to trim my wheel well liner at all either, preferably

nope, they will fit...without issue...and the wheel well will only have to be trimmed due to tire size, not wheel size. 285 anything and start worrying
