Those just suck in hot air. Like bathroom fans. Air out, air in. I have two to dispose of.

It's not consistently hot enough to warrant redoing the HVAC in my old ass house but I'm very happy to have large traditional windows for window units. Only cool the rooms I need when I need and they don't reject hot air by using building air.

Gotta be closer to my area though for sure

I'm free pretty much whenever, would just need to give my SIL or MIL the heads up.

Ya I used to think window units were the inferior ones (having never used either).
Portables are fine if you absolutely need a localized space cool, but whole-house is gonna suffer

Yeah, we usually have less than 10 100+ days in the summer and my house has some shade so most of the time the interior is less than 75* on the first floor. But I prefer the cold and like to freeze my bedroom (2nd floor) out for sleeping, so I run the one 12kBTU unit in my window and I have a 5.5k one for the spare room if there's visitors and one 8k for the office/bathroom (they're adjoined not the same room lol)

Not enough room under the chocolate fountain to submerge your entire tepid "steak"?

Fuck.me. I love when things go right!

MIL came to visit and not being in the mood to talk to anyone except my own wife cause she's awesome, I decided to retreat to the garage.

Figured I'd square up my table and cut some 3/16" for absolutely no reason.

Sorry @Wulf I haven't waited for your feedback just yet, but please no rush!

I cut some bed stiffeners out, not as prototypes but as a set for sale.

    20230601_161947.jpg

Reworking my table really made a difference as there's no beveling and the cuts look fucking smooth!

For the sake of time and money (mainly my cost to others, I want to be affordable) the sets I offer up will be in 10 gauge which, based on how I extended the bracing, will be strong enough.

That and I'm low on 3/16" and that shit ain't cheap

We have this meat based one that popped up down the street called Lins, and it made me truely appreciate the phase "eyes bigger than your stomach"

If you bend it yourself absolutely.

But really, I may as well just cut the parts separately and weld them up cause doing those bends with the sides sticking out is hard AF.
