The engineering guy doing the videos went out of his way to say they did not increase the length, plus the width of the doors open remains the same too. Thinking the only increase in width will be on the Pro and TH with the 3 inch increase up front for the extra wheel travel.

And how do you consider that any different than the current 3.5 liter V6?

What makes you think the turbo will require extra maintenance?

LOL, sorry, you're just repeating something you've heard. Those of us who've owned turbocharged cars for years (I got my first one in 1985), know a properly maintained turbocharged engine will not require any more maintenance than a normally aspirated engine.

Not true. There are more components, more complexity, more moving parts, more piping and more stress on the oil due to the extreme temps inside the turbo etc etc.

can it be reliable ? Yes. But it will never be as reliable than the same non FI engine.

You are correct. To clarify - the new design moved the rear axle further to the rear increasing the wheelbase (not overall length) - but this does impact the breakover angle.

Width is width though. He did state that their goal was to keep the width at the doors the same for garage fitment purposes, but the gap required for a taco to pass through did increase (on the PRO and TH - correct. - but the design looks 'off' without the flares.)

The 3” wider stance is from more aggressive offset wheels and bigger fender flares. It’s not anything to do with the control arm length etc. No extra travel. Pretty lame…..

Clarify your statement. I stated facts you just hurled “bs” this way. If I stated something that is not correct feel free to correct with facts otherwise you sound like a child.

The petrol powered variant of that LC 70 series rocks a 4.0L single VVT-I 1GR-FE motor. Just like the 2.5 Gen Alpha Taco lol

Once again, spoken like someone who has no clue what they're talking about except for what they learn on YouTube. In my case I've owned a number of turbocharged cars and have worked on many-many more. You're welcome to your biased and unfounded opinions, but like it or don't, they're B.S.

You’ve not stated a single fact once again. And once again made some claims around “YouTube” and other non sense. Amazing contribution. Your ownership of a “turbo car since 1985” is irrelevant to the argument at hand.

Prove to us since you’re the self proclaimed expert how there is no extra complexity or reliability impact on two identical engines one with a turbo and one without.

If you can’t you need to learn some communication skills outside of pre school levels of arguing.

But you won’t because these are facts and you’ll continue to hide behind some insult hurling.

Dude, you're the one claiming Turbocharged engines are high maintenance/unreliable. From a scientific perspective, you cannot prove a positive with a negative (i.e. the absence of evidence is no evidence); I can say there is no evidence which indicates turbocharged engines are unreliable, but that proves nothing. So where's the proof? When the maker of the unreliability claim provides positive evidence of an issue. Like it or don't, you're the one making the claim of unreliability, so the ball is in your court to provide the evidence supporting your argument.

imagine being such a weak ass generation that you think it is cool to try to pick on the elderly. If you are a Z or millennial your generation is a joke compared to Gen X and Boomers. FYI the parents of Gen X are Boomers. You don’t actually think you would get through X to even have a chance to get to Boomers. Do you? Hilarious.
