I do have a question, though. I have several keys cut for my truck, four black 'master' keys, two are programmed and two are not programmed. No gray 'valet' key. Can I program three black 'master' keys instead of two black master and one gray valet key? I'm just curious if it's the programming order which determines which key acts a a valet key. I suspect that's the way it works.

Valet keys are programmed like the black keys….valet keys will only turn the drivers door cylinder and ignition switch…

    Thanks!
Am I correct, only three keys can be programmed to a 2nd Gen? My old Ford with PATS allows up to eight. Just wanted to be sure, I think I saw somewhere that three is the maximum for 2nd Gen.

How many key fobs can be programmed

    4 remote fobs.

5 Master keys, 3 valet keys.

The issue most people run into is not deleting the old fobs or keys.

Thanks again, but not the fob (I don't have keyless entry). The immobilizer key (chip key) is what I'm referring to.
