Good morning all. Crappy weather week is moving in today with a cold front dropping down from the north east. Thanks @Tacoma Mike

Interview this morning. Kind of depressing as I’ve been on a number of them. They’ve all gone very well but no offers. I think my age isn’t helping. Yeah, I know, can’t discriminate, blah, blah, blah but when you have all of the qualifications and the discussions go very well, what is left for one to think?

Stop shaving them, you’ll be left alone.

Been down this road before, the kid behind you in the interview wants half the money and only works for 6 weeks and move on... Sucks!!

    Good Morning :hattip:

    Coffee and quiet time again:thumbsup:
There has been cool breeze off the lake all week. Better than the heat they're having back home.

^^^^^ yes another gorgeous morning here in the SE Ohio Valley as well! gonna be mid 90's here today too. got the windows open & attic fan running to get all the fresh cool morning air in & the stale "dog air" out before it all gets closed up & the a/c takes over.

then at about 11pm will do it again.

so this is a pretty good 50+ crowd & would like you guys to settle an argument for me. :)

heres a little story to go with it:

base: im not a vanity person. if i look in a mirror? its because my wife said to & that "you cant go out looking like that". :-0

story: Yesterday did that bush hogging that was mentioned & worked on the tractor & excavator a bit. was NEVER on the ground. had my treated "tick clothes" on. (treated with that permythin stuff that lasts a month) came in after was done, ran thru a shower & got the dust off me, yada yada.
went about the rest of the day. wife & me got in the hot tub for about 20mins at 10pm. Then another shower & hit the bed.

stick with me.. its going somewhere...

got up this morning & felt an itch, same place had one yesterday. strange cause im not a scratchy person. said to wife: hey did i get bugbit? & turned around for her to look.

NO, there is a lonestar tick on your back.

she then proceeds to take it off me & he did NOT let go. yup she tore him into, then tore the rest into. this started at 10 min ordeal of her trying to get mouth parts out of me.... which she did NOT get all of. had her put the campho to it & will let her dig around at it again later.

I say that this guy dropped out of the brush/trees & crawled down my outwardly treated shirt by being on the inside.
She says bullshit, not possible ticks cant drop down. Thats a hillbilly wise tail. They always have to crawl onto you or anywhere they go.

This is not what my hillbilly upbringing taught me. it was always that they could drop off or rub off of brush/limbs/trees & get onto you.

so the argument to settle is: can ticks drop onto you? or are they only ground dwellers that have to crawl up?

PS: our animals are only allowed in the LR, DR,UR of the house.. so they didnt "send" them to our BR. They are all on the pill & never have ticks on them at all.
hate to think that guy was sucking on me from yesterday morning until this morning & lived thru 2 showers & a hot tub trip. DAMN!
