Nice. If you remember in the news most utility companies are raising electric rates , will that benefit you when you sell back ?

Yeah, I'm curious to know how exactly the power companies handle solar. They basically pay you for overproducing energy correct? And then you basically don't owe anything on your electric bill?

It's days like today that I'm really glad I don't work at that goddamn (unair-conditioned) detail shop anymore!

I cant believe the roots. They were only Japanese maples. I'm lucky they didn't lift my sidewalk. They looked great when they were new / small but they just grew like I fed them steroids, I had to keep cutting them back, soon they looked like a bush. It did give us a nice little division between sidewalk and driveway.

They don't stack scrap or operate machinery near the entrance anymore, probably because their insurance carrier increased their rates after having to pay out three grand to fix my truck!

Ours was one of the few that reduced rates. But, yes, over time what we sell back would yield a greater price - but PP&L will only buy back up to 10% above your yearly usage so you have to watch that you don't oversize the system. Ours was designed to yield 107% of our current usage.

I believe offer a credit for anything produced back. You don’t sell it back to them directly but those credits are accumulated on your account to be used at times when you consume more than the panels produce.

yes there is a limitation and the electric company checks the last year or two of usage to determine max allowable panel design to avoid overproduction.

U think this 10% max buy back is for just PP&L or all utilities?

I don’t know for sure but I think it’s pretty standard. I can ask around here and see if anyone knows or try and find the policy.
