    BLASPHAMY!!!

There are no light blue GSX, only Apollo White and Saturn Yellow.

But I do have to say, those rims are sweet and the color is very understated = sleeper.

I have only seen 1 GSX in 1981-1982 and it's a unicorn in the PNW.
This one was Apollo White with blue decals and it CLEARLY read "Stage III" on the rear deck lid.
I was at a bus stop at 85th and Wallingford waiting for Joe Metro so I had lots of time to review and mentally document.
The next block had a large swooping uphill to the freeway = perfect for a gas pedal mashing.
And that is exactly what the driver did, big fat 11's across the intersection and 1/4 up that hill.

    It was glorious.

Maverick is a perfect platform to build a street performer. Super lightweight and throw some small block power to them and the power to weight ratio is a winner.

A buddy of mine in high school late 1970’s owned a 1970 Grabber Maverick in yellow which comes with a 302 V8. Super rare car even back then. A special package Maverick. I knew what he had but he didn’t, he beat the crap out of it and treated like your daily piece of crap car. I remember when he first got it and it was like brand new. It only took him 3 years until it was junk appearance wise. I always liked the snorkel hood.

This is what it looked like when he got it. I got to drive it several times.

I tried like heck to buy one of these. Was green with 302. It was a great car. Guy never drove it. Many years later dude passed and car had rotted away in garage from sitting. Was a shame. That’s a beautiful example with updated wheels.

Loved my '90 SR5 HiLux (would have enjoyed being able to get the double cab version). While I also love my Tacoma, I definitely would have considered a new HiLux, if we could still get them, here.

...^^^... Very well put ... to me, the older Buicks, ie 1960's were the coolest models with the best sound and decent performance ... great smiles there :D

The newer GSX's with the V-6 and turbos were not my thing ... loved the older (non turbo) V-8's in the muscle cars.

Yep, same here. And the first run of them for 1970 only came in the yellow / black or white / black color combo. Later years they went with more colors. An overlooked muscle car that could smoke 90% of the cars of that year with the Stage 1 455 putting out 360HP and a huge 510 lbs of torque. The torque peaked quickly at only 2,800 RPM. More torque than any other GM product was putting out other than the large Cadillac motors. Quite the performer and limited number were made. Motor Trend tested a Stage 1 and claimed it the fastest muscle car 1/4 mile time for 1970.
