Little background... Prior to the pandemic, my Wife and I made plans to move across the country from CA to FL transferring with our employer (major theme park). As part of the plan, we were going to use the Tacoma to shuttle our items over while she drove her Prius behind me. The planning and building began. First, purchased a bed cap. Then, we needed a way to secure items and also have a platform to support 18 flip-top boxes. I came up with this drawer system.
Fast forward 2 weeks before the move after we have already put in our transfers, got approved, and started winding things down... she pulls the plug on the plan and throws everything into complete disarray. To make matters worse shortly there after, she blindsides me with wanting a divorce. Needless to say, every time I look at the truck in the current configuration it makes me ill and I want the the items purchase/built that reminds me of what was supposed to be gone!

Here's the details:

The drawer system is made of wood and is form fit to the bed of the Tacoma (6ft bed)
The wood was sprayed with flex seal to provide some protection and its done great.
There are 2 full bed length drawers that butt up against the tailgate for security.
On the edge closest to the tailgate, there is metal to protect the wood from impacts
All areas the would be typically blocked off are accessible by removing plugs.
Comes with a marine grade gang switch for any bed accessories you may want to install.
Comes with hardware to secure the box to the stock bed d-rings
Comes with a bed length foam mattress in a PVA protector

NOTE: The grey pad seen in the photos is NOT included in the sale.
